Getting to Praia da Luz, Western Algarve

The holiday rental is about a 1-hour drive, 80 km, (50 mls) from Faro Airport.

Although recommended, it’s not essential to hire a car if you just want to relax around the pool and head to nearby Praia da Luz beach.

Cheap train travel is available between Faro and Lagos, and from there it’s a connecting bus to Praia da Luz. The local bus service is inexpensive, modern and reliable. But taxis are also available from Lagos costing around €7 for a one-way trip.

Taxis and shuttle buses are available direct from the airport.
